Hymn Lyrics
3 Sing Praise to God Who Reigns Above
1. Sing praise to God who reigns above, The God of all creation,
The God of Pow'r, the God of love, The God of our
salvation; With healing balm my soul He fills, And
ev'ry faithless murmur stills; To God all praise and glory!
4. Thus all my toilsome way along I sing aloud Thy
praises, That men may hear the grateful song My voice unwearied
raises; Be joyful in the Lord, my hear! Both
soul and body bear your part; To God all praise and glory!
258 He Hideth My Soul
1. A wonderful Savior is Jesus my Lord, A wonderful
Savior to me; He hideth my soul in the cleft of the rock, Where
rivers of pleasure I see. He hideth my soul in the cleft of the rock
That shadows a dry, thirsty land; He hideth my life, in the depths of His love,
And covers me there with His hand, And covers me there with His hand.
4. When clothed in His brightness transported I rise To meet Him in
clouds of the sky, His perfect salvation, His wonderful love, I'll
shout with the millions on high. He hideth my soul in the cleft of the rock
That shadows a dry, thirsty land; He hideth my life, in the depths of His love,
And covers me there with His hand, And covers me there with His hand.
149 When We See Christ
1. Oft-times the day seems long, our trials hard to bear,
We're tempted to complain, to murmur and despair;
But Christ will soon appear to catch His Bride away,
All tears forever over in God's eternal day.
It will be worth it all when we see Jesus,
Life's trials will seem so small when we see Christ;
One glimpse of His dear face all sorrow will erase,
So bravely run the race till we see Christ.
3. Life's day will soon be o'er, all storms forever past,
We'll cross the great divide to glory, safe at last;
We'll share the joys of heav'n -- a harp, a home, a crown,
The tempter will be banished, we'll lay our burden down.
It will be worth it all when we see Jesus,
Life's trials will seem so small when we see Christ;
One glimpse of His dear face all sorrow will erase,
So bravely run the race till we see Christ.
416 So Send I You
1. So send I you to labor unrewarded,
To serve unpaid, unloved, unsought, unknown,
To bear rebuke, to suffer scorn and scoffing
So send I you to toil for me alone.
"As the Father hath sent Me, So send I you."
5. So send I you to hearts made hard by hatred,
To eyes made blind because they will not see,
To spend tho it be blood to spend and spare not
So send I you to taste of Calvary.
"As the Father hath sent Me, So send I you."
